You may remember Bacchus D member Matt Zatkoff. He was the director of Laco$te’s newest music video for the single “Numbers” which has been awarded ‘best music video’ by Hollywood’s Reel Independent Film Festival 2010.
Matt is now promoting his own album. A Christmas album featuring some of the seasons greatest hits with a demented twist. This album is like Gregorian Chant meets Kids of Widney High. Sometimes I have no clue what is going on in the video for Silent Nigh, but that’s the beauty of it you don’t have to understand the message to see his skills of video editing are highly advanced and creative and worth checking out. Plus the meaning of x-mas is complicated I don’t expect Bacchus D to explain it all to me in one video but I think maybe its depicting the religious side of Christmas and how you should never forget that Jesus, the whale, died on the cross for your sins and that rowing a boat with a gigantic candy cane is a terrible idea especially at the risk of being eaten by Jesus, the whale. It’s all very complicated. Turn on the fire and roast your chestnuts to this amazing video. If you think the video is amazing then you will be pleasantly surprised to know that you can download the christmas album for free! CLICK HERE! Prettycoolland would like to thank Bacchus D for remind us all about the spirit of the holidays and what it all means. Also we would like to thank them for making one of the coolest xmas videos of the season!
We went to see Aural Vampire, a technogoth band from Japan, at House of Blues in Anaheim last Sunday and it was awsum! The singer, Exo-Chika, is a vampiress and her bandmate Raveman is cool guy who never takes off mask with flashing LED message “Rave of the Dead” even in everyday life flickr pictures.
As undead ravers, it was only fitting that they perform a cover of Zombie Nation’s classic “Kernkraft 400″. People seemed to enjoy the set even if they didn’t dance much. I don’t think they were expecting dance music because they were mostly there to experience dark feelings and stand only with head moving.
After Aural Vampire played, they chilled outside and we learned that they are really f-ing nice!! We are all really great friends now, as you can tell by Exo-Chika is touching my shoulder.
The guy in this pic asked his friend if he wanted her to take a picture with him too and he said no he wants her to bite him. Everyone thought she was really pretty because duh vampires are very attractive, they’re “the world’s most dangerous predator, Bella. Every thing about me invites you in. My voice, my face, even my smell. As if I would need any of that… as if you could out run me… as if you could fight me off.” – Edward
Enjoy their music video for “Freeeeze!”:
We were really lucky that Black Veil Brides also played. I’d never heard them before but I saw a poster of them in Hollywood one time and was glad I did. They are like KISS/hair metal/emo and have an army of 13 year old girls called BVB Army. The singer, Andy 6, kept saying a bunch of cool stuff like “So suck my dick! This song is called ‘Children Surrender’” before dancing away. So cute!

We love Laco$te and we love this video! It’s the perfect visual representation for a song inspired by the movie ‘Hackers’. Will, Rob and their new butler Peter should definitely pursue some kind of joint career in acting. I really believed! Matt Zatkoff is a genius video maker. The editing is so good. I loved the extremely tubular (trying to think of words besides awesome) storyline that Xenia came up with. It was amazing how Rob, Matt and his super nice, pro video friends turned Margot’s vision of a cyber den into a techno dream reality. It was so much fun watching kpop videos, shopping, dancing and helping homies transform into the kpop superstar princess power house that they are! Props to Xenia’s KOAM hair and makeup team 4 real <3. And props to Xenia’s supernatural talent for dancing and majorly cute hand gestures. She knows how to bring the best out of people and make amazing things happen! For more deep dish on Xenia, read Margot’s article here on PrEttYCOolLaNd and this article on LA Weekly!! Also, check out Anna’s post on her awesome blog Limited Addiction.
Xenia is front girl of one of LA’s most famous underground musical acts known as Laco$te. She captivates her audience with gymnast like stunts. She literally somersaults her way into the most intimidating crowd of spectators and demands their attention whether they like it or not. However, captivated by her stunningly cute looks and spunky persona even the most critical are simply left smitten by this rolling around ball of awesome girl energy.
